Colour INKspiration Challenge #167

Today I’m sharing a card I created as a Guest Designer for the Colour INKspiration Challenge. After seeing the colours to work with, it was a no-brainer - Pretty in Pink, Black and White - such a gorgeous combination.

My first choice was to use my newly acquired Sketched Butterflies Bundle, and one of the Foursquare decorative masks for the background - all the products used are in the Product List below.

My card is a standard 5 1/2” x 4 1/4” with a Basic Black panel 5 1/4” x 4” behind a Basic White panel 5 1/8” x 3 7/8”.

I began by ink blending Pretty in Pink over a mask to create the background.

To keep the card fresh and clean, I chose a couple of Basic Black stems behind a vellum butterfly stamped with Stazon, sitting on a Vellum and a Pretty in Pink die-cut butterfly to create the layers.

To complete the card, a simple strip of Pretty in Pink ribbon, a mounted white heat embossed sentiment and a few Pretty in Pink shimmer gems. The white panel was then mounted on the black.
